Alegria Not gonna lie, I don't think I've heard of Loomis before this EP, but from this point on I'll be keeping my eye (and both ears!) on him and his music. It's one of of my fave ModCons releases, beautiful execution of synth vibes, lots of space. Just what the doctor ordered. Much respect to Loomis! Favorite track: Proteus.

Genres begin to blur with this brilliant EP by UK producer Loomis. “Proteus” immerses the listener in a soundtrack for an imaginary film as breakbeats fade in and out of the distant horizon. Drums are dotted across the landscape of the title track as elements of ambient and synthwave coalesce around drum & bass rhythms. “Amber Dawn” ups the energy with its halftime drum patterns, while “Abacus” slows things down into full-on ambient synth territory. The EP closes with a gorgeous autonomic rework of “Blurred Horizon” by Akuratyde.
